Haskap Dessert Pizza

A dessert pizza you can finally feel good about eating!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 tbsp wild honey

  • Zest from 1 lemon

  • 6 sprigs basil

  • 12 oz blackberries, raspberries or blueberries

  • 1/4 c extra virgin olive oil

  • Passione Organic Pizza Dough (find in your freezer section)

  • Sweet Prairie Haskap™ juice

  • Nutmeg *sprinkle on top before cooking*

  • Cornstarch or preferred thickener

Directions

Note: Prepare Sweet Prairie Haskap™ gelée in advanced or while you wait for your pizza dough to defrost.

Sweet Prairie Haskap™ Gelée:

  • 1/2 cup Sweet Prairie Haskap™ juice

  • Honey or preferred sweetener

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

  • Lemon zest

    Use cook top to gently reduce juice and above ingredients (not the cornstarch just yet). Allow to reduce and add cornstarch slowly into the mixture a little at a time.

    Once well combined and thickening begins, remove from heat and allow to cool & thicken.

Pizza Preparation:

  • Roll out dough on floured surface

  • Toss a little olive oil onto dough and spread with fingertips.

  • Spoon a layer of Sweet Prairie Haskap™ gelée then spoon a generous layer of Mascarpone cheese. Place your basil and berries on top. Add one more spoonful of SSweet Prairie Haskap™ gelée to create a swirl of color. Finish with a light dusting of nutmeg.

  • Cook in your pizza oven until crust is browning and liquids are bubbly.
